DK Metcalf will hear from the NFL. During Sunday’s game against the Lions at Ford Field, the wide receiver for the Steelers was spotted arguing angrily with a supporter on the sidelines. The fan leaned over the fence, wearing a blue wig. Metcalf took exception at whatever he said and punched the fan in retaliation.

After returning from a commercial break, the CBS broadcast showed the incident, leaving Jim Nantz and Tony Romo startled. Tracy Wolfson described the discussion from her point of view. He said:
“I was watching it and [Metcalf] came over because the fan in the stands was holding a No. 4 Pittsburgh jersey. He went over and the fan said something to him. Obviously, Metcalf did not like what he said, and you saw the swipe there. No Steelers came over to him and mentioned anything, we’ll see if the league takes action guys,”
In the first half of Sunday’s game, the event happened right before the two-minute warning. Metcalf had only one five-yard grab on five targets at the time.
