Justin Herbert chose celebrating Chargers “MNF” win over postgame interview with ESPN’s Laura Rutledge.

Justin Herbert may have led the Chargers to a big win, but his biggest move of the night happened after the game. And no, it wasn’t a dance, a celebration, or a victory lap. It was something far more dramatic. Something guaranteed to trigger social media detectives everywhere.

He felt reluctant for a postgame interview with ESPN’s Laura Rutledge.

Yes, as in, try to walk right past the mic with an excuse.

Laura Rutledge didn’t give up and she finally got him for the interview.

“Yeah, I’m trying to celebrate with my team,” Herbert said while trying to avoid ESPN’s sideline reporter.

“No, I know, but can we just talk to you really fast?” Rutledge replied.

ESPN’s lead commentator Joe Buck noticed Herbert’s antsy body language and short answers during the interview.

“Alright, now he can go celebrate with his teammates, thank you, Laura. Good job,” Buck said once the interview concluded.

In the end, the Los Angeles Chargers got the win. Herbert got his moment of peace. And the internet got a fresh batch of memes from how Laura got him for the interview.

Everybody won, except the Eagles!
