WNBA Kysre Gondrezick Shares Stunning Unreleased Photos From Playboy Shoot

Professional basketball player Kysre Gondrezick shared previously unreleased images Tuesday from her historic Playboy photoshoot, offering fans a deeper look at the campaign that made her the magazine’s first Black professional athlete Playmate.

Gondrezick, 28, posted the photos to Instagram, expanding on the 1970s-inspired portfolio that accompanied her selection as Playboy’s “Miss June 2025.”

The release comes as the physical edition of Playboy’s Winter 2025-26 issue, which features Gondrezick’s spread, arrives for collectors. The new images continue the shoot’s retro-glam aesthetic, featuring the former Chicago Sky guard in high-fashion lingerie and vintage settings that highlight what she calls her “evolution” beyond the court.

Gondrezick, who was the No. 4 overall pick in the 2021 WNBA Draft, made history in October when she was announced as the first active pro basketball player to hold a Playmate title. The shoot, photographed by Dove Shore, utilized mid-century modern architecture and classic cars to frame Gondrezick in a style distinct from traditional sports photography.

“What people label as a transition, I embody as evolution,” Gondrezick said in the initial magazine feature. “I’m not stepping outside who I am. I’m building a multidimensional brand.”

The Michigan native is currently a free agent in the WNBA after spending part of the 2024 season with the Chicago Sky. She remains active in professional basketball, having signed to compete in the Athletes Unlimited (AU) Pro Basketball league for its 2026 season, which tips off in February in Nashville.

The photoshoot has drawn significant engagement across social media, where Gondrezick has cultivated a following for her intersection of athletics and fashion. Her move to partner with Playboy follows a growing trend of WNBA players leveraging their platforms for high-profile lifestyle and fashion endorsements.

Gondrezick’s feature appears in the Playboy Winter 2025-26 issue, which is currently available.
