Aralyn Martinez is in trouble with the law after attempting to harm love rival Cindy S. Aguilar at the gym.
If you thought love triangles were just awkward group chats and shady subtweets, think again. This one allegedly came with a 25-pound weight and a very bad attitude.
According to reports, Aralyn Martinez was arrested after an incident involving her love rival, Cindy S. Aguilar.
And no, this was not a dramatic stare-down in a parking lot. This was a full-on, gym-equipment-meets-jealousy situation.
Authorities say Aralyn allegedly tried to hit Cindy in the head with a 25-pound weight.
Yes. An actual weight. The kind meant for squats.
Deputies responded to after an emergency call on January 6 and where they were told the 24-year-old had recognized, ‘the complainant as someone her partner was involved with’.
An altercation arose between the two, and Martinez allegedly tried to cause injury by throwing a weighted plate toward the complainant’s head.
Martinez attacked the victim saying, ‘b**** I’m going to drop this 25lb weight plate on you’, according to a criminal complaint filed by the District Attorney’s Office and obtained by the Daily Mail.
Constable Mark Herman said that the gymgoer was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail.
Her bond was set at $1,000 out of the 488th District Court, which she posted the next day.
‘Facts giving rise to probable cause suggest that alcohol was a factor in this offense,’ Judge Matthew Peneguy noted in an order setting bond conditions.
Aralyn Martinez has been restricted for using Marijuana and also possessing weapons. This is a good step in ensuring the safety of others.
‘Defendant must not use, possess, or consume alcohol. This includes any food, mouthwash, or over-the-counter medication containing alcohol.’
She is prohibited from contacting the victim and can not be within 200 feet of the 24 Hour Fitness location where the incident occurred.
An X account seemingly run by Martinez contained several different posts about relationships.
This included a repost that said, ‘fall in love before you get too smart,’ and another that added: ‘I hate a lustful man. Did you even know how funny I am b****.’
In a Facebook post the day after her arrest, Martinez reposted: ‘I’m really a “there’s beauty in everything” kind of girl, even in the lessons, the waiting, and the becoming.’
The situation is messy. It’s serious.
But it also highlights how absurd things can get when emotions run unchecked.
At the end of the day, nobody wins here. Not Aralyn, not Cindy, and definitely not the boyfriend.
The streets are asking what her bail is because they want to shoot their shot at her.
