Ex-NBA Player Kyle Singler claims he is now homeless with his child being abused.
The world of professional sports often feels like a place where everyone wins. Big money, big fame and big success. But sometimes, the truth is far darker than the highlight reels.
Former NBA player Kyle Singler recently revealed that he is now homeless. Even more heartbreaking, he also added that his child is being abused. These are not just sad headlines. They are real-life crises that deserve real attention.
‘I don’t feel safe,’ the Medford, Oregon native said in the self-shot video. ‘I’ve got people in my life taking my money — this is a message to everybody in my life who has been messing with me. I have my child, my child is being sexually, physically, emotionally, spiritually abused. Shame on everybody that knows me that’s not helping, not intervening. F*** y’all. Duke, Medford, everybody.
‘I have people in my life f***ing me,’ Singler continued. ‘And nobody’s there. I’m on my own, homeless. People that are just feeding off me.
‘You all have created me by your treatment I am sick of it. Done. Standing tall. If you don’t like it, f***ing be helpful. My child has been a weapon against me.
‘I’m not apologetic for living my life you of love, being with people I want to be around. But it’s not reciprocal. I’ve been taken advantage of every f***ing step of the way. And now I’m talking. Y’all talk s***, and now I’m talking s***. I hope you like it.’
Homelessness is a nightmare no one should face. It is cold, lonely and dangerous. It is also deeply unfair that a person who once played on the biggest stages in basketball can end up without a home. Singler’s situation shows how quickly life can change. One moment, you’re on a court in front of thousands, the next, you’re fighting just to find a safe place to sleep.
