How Wesley Snipes Saved Kim Kardashian Life When She Was 17

Reality TV star and entrepreneur Kim Kardashian shared a previously untold story about how actor Wesley Snipes intervened to help her when she was a 17-year-old stranded alone in New York City after a night of clubbing, describing the encounter as life-saving.

Kardashian, 45, recounted the incident on her sister Khloé Kardashian’s podcast, “Khloé in Wonder Land,” released Thursday. She explained that she had traveled to New York with friends for a party scene experience but became separated from her group at a club called Life. She ended up at an after-party in a stranger’s apartment, where Snipes noticed her vulnerability.

“I just want to start it off with: Wesley Snipes saved my life,” Kardashian said in the interview. “And he doesn’t know this story. He has no clue who I was.”

According to Kardashian, Snipes, then a rising star known for films like “New Jack City,” pulled her aside, questioned why a young girl was alone at such an event, and insisted on driving her back to her hotel. The next morning, he took her to breakfast and delivered a stern lecture about the dangers of the nightlife scene.

“He saved my life. He schooled the s— out of me,” she added. “Scared me to death about being at a club because after I’m like, ‘Oh, I’ll never be at a club again.'”

Kardashian said she has never crossed paths with Snipes, 63, since that night and hopes the story reaches him so she can express her gratitude. Snipes, who later starred in the “Blade” trilogy, has not publicly commented on the anecdote.

The revelation quickly sparked buzz on social media, particularly on X, where a clip shared by music news account @mymixtapez amassed over 3 million views. Reactions ranged from skeptical humor to praise for Snipes’ actions, with many users referencing his iconic vampire hunter role.

“That was some random black guy lmao,” wrote user @FortyCal12 in a reply that received more than 3,500 likes.

Others poked fun at the story’s dramatic flair. “Whole time she was at home watching Blade on shrooms,” posted @HawkMoney1. User @ladidaix quipped, “That wasn’t Wesley Snipes that was Blade,” echoing a common theme tying the tale to Snipes’ 1998 superhero film.

Some reactions turned crude or dismissive. “Wesley pipes 😂,” commented @thecardnurse716, alluding to a porn actor with a similar name, while @FedericoGalavis noted, “Then you went off to release a sex tape.”

Amid the jokes, several users called out the negativity. “She was 17 y’all are weird asf in the comments,” wrote @MOOCHTHEGAWD. Another, @IamKeotshepile, added, “You guys on the comments are disgusting, the fact that you can’t believe a man can help a woman, a young woman at that and not want to sleep with them is concerning.”

More recent replies continued the mix of doubt and amusement. “She met Wesley Pipes,” posted @MorrisChestbutt, while @Tealflames mused, “So one breakfast with Wesley Snipes led to a lifelong love of black guys.”

The story highlights Kardashian’s early brushes with celebrity before her rise to fame through “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” in 2007. It also underscores ongoing discussions about safety in nightlife, particularly for young women.
