Lamar Odom Arrested For DUI in Las Vegas

Former NBA star Lamar Odom was arrested early Saturday in Las Vegas on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to TMZ. The 46-year-old was pulled over by police on Jan. 17 and booked on a DUI charge and two related traffic violations, including allegedly driving more than 41 miles per hour over the posted speed limit and an improper lane change or failure to maintain his lane.

Court records and jail logs indicate Odom remained in custody at the Clark County Detention Center as of early Sunday, with a scheduled court appearance set for March 17, 2026, in Nevada.

Odom’s arrest marks a return to legal trouble for the former two-time NBA champion, whose battle with substance abuse has been widely documented. The ex-Los Angeles Lakers forward was previously arrested on DUI charges in 2013 and has openly discussed his long-running struggles with drugs and alcohol, including a near-fatal overdose in a Nevada brothel in 2015.

After a 14-year NBA career that included stops with four teams and an Olympic bronze medal with the U.S. national team, Odom’s off-court challenges have often made headlines. His 2009–2016 marriage to reality television personality Khloé Kardashian brought additional media scrutiny, especially during the height of his addiction issues.

In recent years, Odom has spoken about his commitment to sobriety and has worked to help others struggling with addiction through rehabilitation efforts. However, Saturday’s arrest raises fresh questions about his recovery journey.
