Raiders Interested in Trading for Lamar Jackson

The Las Vegas Raiders could be preparing to make a bold offseason move at quarterback — and it might involve two-time NFL MVP Lamar Jackson.

Speculation has swirled in recent days that the Raiders and Baltimore Ravens could explore a trade that would send the dynamic signal-caller to Las Vegas, NBC Sports host Mike Florio said Monday on PFT Live.

“There’s a feeling out there that the Raiders are going to make a play for Lamar,” Florio said, referencing recent buzz tied to a column by Baltimore Sun reporter Mike Preston. “Offer the first pick in the draft for Lamar Jackson … people are expecting [Tom Brady] to do something big.”

The Raiders — who hold the No. 1 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft — are in the midst of an organizational overhaul that includes hiring a new head coach and reshaping a roster that struggled mightily last season.

Jackson’s future in Baltimore has been uncertain amid offseason changes, including the firing of longtime head coach John Harbaugh. A trade would require agreement from the Ravens and Jackson, who holds a no-trade clause in his contract, giving him control over any potential destination.

While interest in Jackson highlights the Raiders’ urgency to upgrade at quarterback, the franchise also has top quarterback prospects, including Fernando Mendoza, in its draft plans. Keeping the No. 1 pick would allow Las Vegas to build long-term around a younger player under a rookie contract.

Raiders minority owner Tom Brady, who has been closely involved in the team’s offseason strategy, is widely expected to play a key role in any major personnel decision. Whether that leads to a blockbuster trade for Jackson or staying the course through the draft remains one of the NFL’s most intriguing offseason narratives.
