Taylor Rooks, the Amazon Prime Video NBA host, dropped a surprising personal story this week. She revealed she used to babysit NFL players Josh Downs and Caleb Downs when they were kids. The revelation came during the brothers’ Downs 2 Business podcast.
Rooks said she watched the Downs boys from about sixth grade through her senior year of high school. The families lived near each other northeast of Atlanta. At the time, Josh and Caleb’s mother served as Rooks’ teacher in high school.
Josh Downs is now a wide receiver for the Indianapolis Colts. His younger brother, Caleb, became a star at Ohio State and recently declared for the 2026 NFL Draft. Caleb is widely viewed as a potential top-10 pick.
On the podcast, Rooks shared vivid memories. She called Caleb “the sweetest little baby” who loved to be held. She said Josh had big personality and energy even as a kid. Rooks also watched over the Downs’ sister.
