Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green was ejected from Saturday’s home game against the Utah Jazz after receiving two technical fouls for arguing with officials, marking his second ejection in the last eight games and the 22nd of his regular-season career.
The incident occurred with 2:25 remaining in the second quarter at Chase Center. Green, apparently frustrated over a missed call on what he believed was a three-second violation or travel by Jazz forward Lauri Markkanen, confronted referee Sean Cutler. After an initial technical foul, Green continued to argue, leading to a second technical and automatic ejection. Video of the sequence shows Green gesturing emphatically toward the paint before engaging with the official, prompting teammates like Gary Payton II to intervene as head coach Steve Kerr looked on in frustration.

At the time of the ejection, the Warriors trailed 58-48. Green finished with four points, three rebounds and three assists in 12 minutes. Payton started the second half in his place.
Social media erupted with reactions to the ejection. Some fans and analysts called it “soft,” pointing out the missed call on Markkanen. “This is such a soft ejection it was such an obvious 3 second,” posted X user @Srgntbinga. Others criticized Green for escalating the situation. “Draymond really gotta learn how to stfu,” wrote @_chefcurry. “Getting ejected in the second quarter over the refs not calling a 3 sec call is ridiculous.”

Draymond Green, who was always a loose cannon, seems to be getting worse as he gets older, and it is time for the Warriors to seriously consider trading him while he still has any value.
