A 32-year-old Kentucky man, Allen Osborne, has been arrested after police say they caught him doing something that absolutely no one had on their 2026 bingo card.
According to authorities, he was allegedly having relations with a dead deer on the side of the road. Yes, a deer, and yes, it was already dead.
Police reports claim officers arrived on the scene and found Osborne “covered in fur.” That is not a sentence anyone expects to read with their morning coffee. Imagine being the officer who had to write that report. “Suspect was covered in fur.” Career highlight right there.
According to the Central City Police Department, the call was placed around 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21, reporting that a man was allegedly “having intercourse with a dead deer” while they were driving down Phillip Stone Way in Muhlenberg County.
The caller described the man to dispatch. Officers said that they found a man who matched their description upon arrival, who was identified as 32-year-old Allen Osborne.
An arrest citation notes that police found Osborne with his pants around his knees, his hands and clothes covered in blood and deer fur.
Osborne was arrested and charged with sexual crimes against animals. He was booked at the Muhlenberg County Detention Center.
Court records show that Osborne is being held on a $5,000 bond.
Now, Kentucky has seen some wild headlines before. But this one? This one sprinted past the rest and jumped the fence.
Let’s be clear: this is not just weird, it is illegal. There are laws for a reason and none of those laws include “romantic roadside moments with wildlife.”
Behind the jokes, this situation is deeply disturbing. There is nothing funny about abusing an animal, alive or dead. It crosses lines that should never even be approached.
Osborne is now faces charges related to the incident as he should. Some actions do not need a debate, they need consequences.
In the end, this story serves as a reminder that not every strange urge needs to be acted on. Some thoughts should stay thoughts.
And if you ever find yourself on the side of the road staring at roadkill, the correct move is simple: Keep driving.
