Browns’ Ronnie Hickman Suffers Minor Injuries After Being Attacked By 4 Men

It was supposed to be a safe morning in the city that never sleeps. Instead, it turned into a real-life action scene for Ronnie Hickman of the Cleveland Browns.

According to reports, Hickman suffered minor injuries after being attacked by four men at a hotel in New York City. Yes, four, not one, not two, four grown men decided that testing an NFL player in a hotel was a good life choice. Bold strategy.

Details are still a little fuzzy, but we know this: things got messy that Hickman had to be transported to the hospital after the incident. Thankfully, the injuries were described as minor, which is good because Browns fans have had enough heart attacks this season already.

The incident occurred around 4:30 AM at the SIXTY LES in the Lower East Side, where the DB was approached by a group of men who apparently realized he played in the NFL.

The confrontation quickly escalated into a physical altercation, sparking a brawl in the hotel lobby. The suspects took off, leaving Hickman with injuries that required a trip to the hospital

The Browns said he was treated for minor injuries and is now resting at home with his family.

The scary incident comes just months after N.Y. Jets cornerback Kris Boyd was shot outside a popular Midtown Manhattan restaurant.

It appears that Hickman was sucker punched by the goons, who then fled.

“Upon arrival, officers were informed that four unidentified individuals punched a 24-year-old male about the body following a verbal dispute,” police said. “The suspects fled the location in an unknown direction.”

In the end, it’s another reminder that athletes are still human, they travel, they stay in hotels and they just want a quiet night sometimes. Instead, Hickman got a four-on-one sparring session he didn’t ask for.

New York really does offer unforgettable experiences.

Next time, maybe, hire personal security when in New York City.
