Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice and rapper-model Rubi Rose were photographed together on Valentine’s Day, drawing intense social media attention and speculation that the pair has gone public with a relationship.
Photos shared on Rice’s Instagram story showed Rice and Rose stepping out together, prompting widespread online discussion about whether they had made the relationship “IG official” through the public appearance. Neither Rice nor Rose has directly addressed the rumors on their own social media accounts.
The sighting comes roughly a month after dating speculation first surfaced in early January when photos and videos appeared to show the two at the same gym. At that time, neither confirmed nor denied any involvement.
Social media reactions poured in quickly and were sharply divided.

The Valentine’s Day photos also renewed scrutiny of domestic violence allegations leveled against Rice in January by Dacoda Nichole Jones, the mother of his two children. Jones posted Instagram photos that appeared to show bruises, cuts and other injuries, alleging years of physical and emotional abuse. She did not name Rice directly but described the abuser as the father of her children.
The post was later deleted, and no police report has been filed in connection with the claims, according to available reports. The Chiefs said at the time they were aware of the social media allegations and were in communication with the NFL but offered no further comment. The NFL also acknowledged the posts without additional statement.
Rice, 25, is already on probation after pleading guilty last year to two third-degree felony charges stemming from a March 2024 multi-vehicle crash in Dallas. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail (which can be served during probation) and five years of probation, and he served a six-game NFL suspension at the start of the 2025 season under the league’s personal conduct policy.
