Stephen A. Smith Believes Racism Won’t Affect His Presidential Ambition

If confidence were currency, Stephen A. Smith would personally fund the federal budget.

The loudest man in sports television has now flirted with the ultimate promotion: the White House. Yes, the White House. And according to him, if he ever runs for president, racism will not be the thing stopping him.

Stephen A. basically said he’s not worried about racism hurting his chances if he decides to chase the Oval Office. Not concerned, not trembling and definitely losing sleep. That’s elite-level self-belief or he is just tap dancing for the white voteers..

“I know it [racism] exists. I know that you can’t escape it, but I do not believe it is as prevalent as some on the left would like us to believe,” the host of SiriusXM’s “Straight Shooter with Stephen A.” said during an interview on CBS News “Sunday Morning.”

“I do believe a vast majority of Americans judge you on the content of your individual character, rather than the color of your skin,” he added.

Smith thinks the majority of voters are looking for a candidate who cares about their problems and needs.

“It’s about the fact they don’t give a damn about it, because they got their own problems,” Smith said of how race is considered by voters. “That’s entirely different than believing they are superior to you and want to hold you back from ascending. That’s not what’s going on to the degree it was decades ago.”

Of course, this is all hypothetical. He hasn’t officially thrown his hat in the ring, but the fact that he’s even entertaining it tells you everything about his mindset.

He doesn’t see barriers, he sees debates to win.  All this sounds crazy considering Trump does racist things almost every single day.

Smith if he ever does run, one thing is guaranteed: nobody will accuse him of being low energy.

The White House might not be ready, but Stephen A.? He’s already warmed up.
