Tyreek Hill era is over at Dolphins. In the most well-known move from a flurry of player trades, the Miami Dolphins cut Hill, 31, on Monday, February 16.
During his four seasons with the Dolphins, Hill was among the NFL’s best receivers, and in 2023, he led the league in receiving. His first two seasons with the Dolphins were the most exciting of his career, as he caught 238 passes for 3,509 yards and 20 touchdowns.
Due to Miami’s difficulties throughout the past two seasons, he only had 102 receptions for 1,224 yards and seven touchdowns before sustaining a leg injury that ended his season against the New York Jets on September 29, 2025.
Where would Tyreek Hill go next?
In the weeks following his season-ending injury and surgeries, Hill remained unsure about his NFL future. In October, he stated to The Palm Beach Post that he was content “being with my kids” for the time being.
During the 2026 offseason, several NFL teams are dealing with concerns at the wide receiver position. There are concerns about depth and talent at wide receiver for the Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs, San Francisco 49ers, New England Patriots, and Denver Broncos, according to Pro Football Focus.
Naturally, Hill and the Chiefs have a history together. In 2020, he won Super Bowl LIV while playing for Kansas City for six seasons.
