On Sunday, former President Barack Obama attended the NBA’s All-Star Game in Los Angeles and, as one very amusing incident involving Reggie Miller demonstrated, was in a very good mood while watching the game from the court.
The Hall of Famer and Indiana Pacers guard invited the former president to share his greatest memory from his time in Chicago in the 1990s, when Michael Jordan’s Bulls were a dominant force in the NBA and at the top of the sports world, during his appearance on the NBC broadcast.
Miller gave a mocking grunt as Obama swiftly responded:
“I always enjoyed watching us beat Indiana,”
“Although, I will say,”, “that nobody terrified me more than Reggie Miller with a possible three-point shot at the end of a game. You did push off Michael on that one play, though.”
Reggie Miller: “Do you have a favorite moment during that time in Chicago during the ’90s?”

The last seconds of Game 6 of the 1998 Eastern Conference Finals, when Miller got away with pressing Jordan to create room and make the game-winning three-pointer, are what Obama is alluding to. Game 7 would be won by Chicago.
