Chinese Company Piles Up $26M In Employee Bonuses At End Of Year Party

If you think your company pizza party was generous, please sit down. A Chinese company just said, “Direct deposit? Boring.” Instead, they piled up $26 million in cash at their end-of-year party and told employees to grab what they could carry. Yes, actual money stacked like a movie scene.

The mastermind behind this wild flex is boss man Cui Peijun.

Around 7,000 employees showed up to the party, but this wasn’t just music and finger food, this was a full-blown cash carnival. The company laid money across 800 tables. Imagine walking into a ballroom and instead of centerpieces, you see stacks of bills staring at you.

It was basically Black Friday, but for your own bonus.

Employees were reportedly allowed to take home as much as they could physically carry. One superstar worker managed to walk away with about $13k. That’s not a bonus, that’s a mini heist, legally approved.

‘In previous years, we gave necklaces and rings, bring up the cash and give everyone another 20,000 yuan ($2,800).’

He said of the unusual method of handing out bonuses: ‘Some people ask why we don’t just transfer the money to their accounts, but that way, it’s just cold numbers.’

Cui holds 98.88 percent of the company’s shares, effectively returning a major portion of his dividends to employees.

The company, which makes and hires out cranes, was set up in 2002 and has business operations in over 130 countries.

It has a history of generosity towards its employees.

In 2024, the company recorded a net profit of $38million, of which around $24million was given to employees.

In 2023, the firm gave $8.5million to its 40 highest-performing workers, with the three best salespeople each earning $730,000.

To celebrate International Women’s Day last March, it awarded bonuses totaling nearly $230,000 to nearly 2,000 female employees.

Some companies give mugs, some give plaques but this company said, “Here’s a stack of money. Go wild.”

It was chaotic, dramatic and slightly stressful, but it’s unforgettable.

So next time HR sends an email about a “fun year-end celebration,” just remember, somewhere out there, employees are doing farmer’s carries with literal piles of cash.
