Philadelphia Eagles All-Pro cornerback Cooper DeJean and Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Abby Summers have fueled online speculation of a romance after they were spotted sitting together at a March Madness game.
DeJean attended Saturday night’s Elite Eight matchup between his alma mater, the Iowa Hawkeyes, and the Illinois Fighting Illini at the Toyota Center. Fans and social media users quickly identified the woman beside the defensive back as Summers, a member of the Cowboys cheerleading squad, sparking widespread dating rumors.
The sighting has drawn particular attention because of the fierce NFC East rivalry between the Eagles and Cowboys. Whether the two are actually dating remains unconfirmed.

DeJean, 23, a native Iowan who starred at the University of Iowa, has emerged as one of the NFL’s top young cornerbacks since the Eagles drafted him in the second round in 2024. He had previously been linked to WWE star Nikki Bella, though those rumors were never confirmed as a relationship.
Summers is in her second season with the Cowboys cheerleaders. The former Ohio State dance team member gained wider recognition as a featured performer in the Netflix docuseries “America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.”
Neither DeJean nor Summers has publicly commented on the speculation. The Hawkeyes ultimately lost to the Illini despite leading by four points at halftime.
The photos from the game have lit up social media, with some fans joking about a “Romeo and Juliet” storyline playing out behind enemy lines in the NFC East.
