Philadelphia Eagles fans have spent the offseason acting like FBI detectives over the relationship between quarterback Jalen Hurts and wide receiver A.J. Brown. Why? Because Hurts didn’t show up to Brown’s wedding. Apparently in 2026, missing a wedding automatically means two grown men are secretly in a football divorce.
The rumors got so loud that Hurts finally had to address them while speaking to reporters on Wednesday. And honestly, the man looked exhausted explaining something that probably should’ve never become a headline in the first place.

Hurts shut all the drama down. He made it clear there’s no issue between him and Brown. No locker room war, no secret hatred and no WWE-style betrayal. Just two adults living life during the offseason.
“We’re focused on learning the offense. It really doesn’t change, in terms of our approach to improve,” he said. “There’s an ‘if.’ Obviously it’s been a lingering thing, but nothing can replace all of the greatness that we’ve achieved together.
“Nothing’s changed since we last spoke at the end of the season. We’re really good,” he said. “I saw how beautiful the pictures came out at his wedding, and I’m very happy for him and his wife and family. It’s just a beautiful thing to step into a covenant so I was very excited and congratulatory toward that.”
The reality is simple. Hurts and Brown seem fine. Nobody threw punches, nobody leaked angry texts, nobody unfollowed anybody while listening to sad Drake songs.
Sometimes a missed wedding is just a missed wedding.
Still, don’t expect the rumors to stop anytime soon. Eagles fans treat drama the same way Philadelphia treats cheesesteaks: aggressively and in massive portions.
