Jaxson Dart Forced to Explain His Love For Trump to Giants Teammates

Jaxson Dart has had a wild few weeks. After having a meaningful conversation with his New York Giants colleagues about his recent meeting with President Donald Trump, it appears that the locker room will now put the incident behind them.

According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the second-year quarterback, Brian Burns, Kayvon Thibodeaux, and Jameis Winston all talked during the meeting on Wednesday. The source claims that they were able to “work through it.”

On Friday, Dart welcomed Trump to the stage at Rockland Community College in Suffern, New York, saying it was an honor to have Nos. 45–47. In exchange, Trump praised Dart and referred to him as a potential Hall of Famer.

Star pass rusher Abdul Carter was originally offended by his appearance and took to social media to comment, “thought this s*** was AI, what we doing man.”

He then claimed that after speaking with each other, the two got along well. Dart’s choice to attend a Trump rally infuriated some talking heads, who said it would only split the roster. That doesn’t appear to have been the case.

What I have been told is that players don’t care that Dart loves Trump. They are more concerned that his public affection will be a distraction, and they want to focus on ball.
