Michael Porter Jr. said that his personal life suffered after Madison Pettis, a former Disney Channel star, publicly referred to him as a “psychopath.”
Following Pettis’ revelation of their relationship during a March visit on the “In Your Dreams With Owen Thiele” podcast, Porter addressed her remarks.
“That was absurd. During a Monday interview on the “One Night with Steiny” podcast featuring online celebrities Aaron Steinberg and Celina Powell, Porter stated, “I wasn’t feeling that at all because, bro, we dated for what, three months, and nothing happened crazy.”
“I don’t know why 10 years later she’s getting on a podcast talking about, ‘He’s a psychopath.’ She’s scaring all the jawns away.
“But come on, bro, 10 years later, I’m 16 or 17, I don’t even think I lost my virginity yet, dawg. Not til college.”
Porter brought up his ex’s comments, referring to Pettis as “what’s her name.”
He added that Pettis messaged him after noticing Steph Curry’s birthday shoutout on Instagram, which is how they first connected.
The actress claimed that Porter was a psychopath, which is why she ended their relationship in March. Porter and Pettis dated from 2016 to mid-2017 before the Denver Nuggets selected him with the 14th overall choice in the 2018 NBA Draft. Pettis did not identify her former partner.
He was traded to the Nets in June of last year after winning a championship with Denver in 2023. This week, he gained notoriety after Powell leaked his speech.
