R&B singer Ray J was knocked out in the second round of his celebrity mixed martial arts debut on Saturday night, losing to internet personality and comedian Supah Hot Fire during Adin Ross’ Brand Risk 14 event at the UFC Apex.

The co-main event ended at the 0:26 mark of round two when Supah Hot Fire landed a counter left hook that dropped Ray J. Ray J got back to his feet but was visibly dazed, leading the referee to stop the fight.

In the first round, Supah Hot Fire spent much of the time circling and moving around the cage without throwing significant strikes. Observers noted unconventional moments, including Supah Hot Fire appearing to take a FaceTime call and having additional people in his corner. Ray J pressed forward aggressively but had difficulty landing clean, effective shots.

Ray J had prepared seriously for the matchup. He trained extensively after recovering from a recent health scare and worked with UFC Hall of Famers Chuck Liddell and Rampage Jackson. The bout came after a heated pre-fight press conference that required security to separate the two fighters multiple times.

After the stoppage, Ray J expressed frustration and indicated he believed he and Supah Hot Fire had discussed how the fight would unfold. He was quoted in post-fight comments suggesting the early knockout disrupted an agreed plan and referenced money lost as a result.

Supah Hot Fire, whose viral persona originates from Deshawn Raw’s long-running rap battle parody series, improved to 1-0 in amateur MMA competition with the victory.

The Brand Risk 14 card, promoted by streamer Adin Ross, mixed celebrity and influencer bouts and was held at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

X Reactions

The knockout quickly spread across X, where users shared fight clips and reacted with a mix of surprise, humor, and commentary on the chaotic nature of the matchup.

Many posts highlighted the contrast between Ray J’s publicized training and the quick finish, with users posting laughing emojis and phrases such as “Ray J got knocked tf out” alongside videos of the stoppage.

Others focused on Ray J’s post-fight remarks about a supposed plan. One widely circulated reaction noted the irony of Ray J saying he was “ready to die” in the cage, getting knocked out, and then suggesting the fight had not gone according to an understanding.

Additional comments described the bout as another unpredictable moment in Adin Ross-promoted events, with some users joking about the first-round dynamics and the abrupt ending. Footage of the finish circulated rapidly, turning the result into one of the more discussed moments from the card.

The event underscored the ongoing interest in crossover celebrity combat sports spectacles, even as outcomes often defy pre-fight expectations.
