Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis hired a cybersecurity specialist and a private investigator and spent a significant amount of money trying to determine how a private video of him and his then-girlfriend was leaked online, according to his mother.
Beth Levis discussed the matter during an appearance on the Ross Tucker Podcast. Clips from the interview circulated on social media Monday.
“Will (Levis) actually ended up engaging in hiring a cyber security specialist and private investigator and spent an EXORBITANT amount of money to try to get to the bottom of this…” Beth Levis said.
The video, which involved Levis and his then-girlfriend Gia Duddy, leaked online in late May 2024. Levis, selected by the Titans in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft out of Kentucky, has remained with the franchise.
The leak prompted a range of online theories about how the footage surfaced. Some social media users and forum discussions speculated that Duddy herself may have released or been involved in leaking the video after the couple’s breakup, with claims it was done out of revenge or to gain attention as an influencer. Duddy has publicly stated that she and Levis remain on good terms and are still friendly, pushing back against narratives suggesting animosity between them. Other reports around the time of the leak described the videos as having been obtained through hacking.
Levis’ decision to hire outside professionals to investigate aligns with efforts to identify the source and address the unauthorized distribution. Beth Levis did not elaborate further on the investigation or its findings in the clips that have circulated.
Levis has largely kept personal matters private in public comments since entering the NFL. The Titans quarterback has faced scrutiny over his on-field performance in recent seasons.
