Josh Hart “Waiting” for Becky Hammon to Apologize for Jalen Brunson

As he waits for a reaction from the Las Vegas Aces coach, Josh Hart threw jabs at Becky Hammon after her earlier remarks regarding Jalen Brunson turned out to be incorrect.

For the first time since 1973, the Knicks made it back to the summit. During the 2026 NBA Finals, they defeated the San Antonio Spurs in five games to win their third championship as a team.

Brunson’s efforts during the championship series earned him the title of Finals MVP.

In December 2023, Hammon publicly stated that Brunson was not a “1A” player and that the Knicks couldn’t win a championship with the 6-foot-2 guard as their top player.

At the time, Hammon stated:

“If your best player is small, you’re not winning,”

During his appearance on the Roommates Show on ESPN, Hart reiterated same remarks. He is eagerly waiting for her to formally retract that statement and provide an apology.

Before the crowd chanted Hammon’s name, Hart said:

“I’m not naming names: I’m still waiting for somebody––,” “…to say they was wrong about someone who led our team to a championship…I know they have media availability so we’ll be waiting for that apology,”

After the Knicks won their first title since 1973, Josh Hart and the team will be ecstatic.

Hart finished his ninth NBA season, four of which he spent with the Knicks. In 66 games, he averaged 12 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 4.8 assists.
