The former UFC star Anthony Smith is currently incarcerated at a county jail, but he might soon be released because a judge issued a $500K bond just one and a half days after he was booked for three felonies.

On Wednesday morning, the 38-year-old made his initial appearance before a court in Sarpy County, Nebraska, and was given bond. Smith will be discharged pending trial as soon as he has the money.

He won’t be able to do anything he wants, though. As part of his bond, Smith is prohibited from communicating with Mikhala Smith, his wife. Anthony is also not allowed to go outside of the state.

He also must remain clear of any controversy.

As we previously reported, the former light heavyweight title candidate was put into the slammer Monday evening about 8:45 PM… He is facing accusations for terroristic threats, false imprisonment (1st degree), and domestic assault causing serious bodily damage. It’s unknown what led up to Smith’s arrest, though the no-contact order could indicate his wife was somehow involved.

With a conviction, the charges can entail up to 26 years in prison. Smith could be discharged as early as this morning.
