Four women have accused Jared Leto of engaging in unlawful sexual behavior, alleging the acts took place when they were minors.
Ten women come out with accusations against the actor and musician in a new BBC documentary titled “Jared Leto: Hollywood’s Dark Secret,” which airs on Wednesday. According to the BBC, nine of these women are telling their tales for the first time.
One of the women claims that when she was seventeen, the Oscar winner assaulted her in a motel restroom. Another says that when she was nineteen, Leto threatened to sexually abuse her.
A third of the document details how, at the age of 17, she reportedly had intercourse with Leto in California, which would have been considered statutory rape because she was not old enough to provide consent. She says the actor “shrugged off” a discussion about the state’s 18-year-old consent age.
A fourth woman claims that when she was sixteen, Leto often called her in a sexually suggestive manner and at least once offered that they have sex.
The BBC claims in the document to have seen an NDA that the fourth lady was requested to sign in order to prevent her from talking about her relationship with Leto. She declined to sign the NDA.
