Speaking candidly about a previous relationship, Chloe Bailey describes how she found out her boyfriend had cheated on her and why she decided not to confront him straight away.
In an interview with the Call Her Daddy podcast, which aired on Wednesday, July 1, Bailey stated that she discovered the unidentified ex’s infidelity in a number of ways.
The singer claimed that although some people contacted her godmother, others would occasionally give her direct messages with information. She also remembered seeing warning flags herself, such as discovering a hair tie that had been left behind and an eyelash extension that she knew wasn’t hers.
When asked how she feels when she finds out a boyfriend has cheated on her, Bailey responded as follows:
“It depends on how I’m feeling,”
Bailey claimed that after discovering the eyelash extension, she contacted her godmother while keeping her feelings to herself. While her godmother keeps her grounded, Bailey joked that Halle Bailey, her younger sister, “will have me crash out.”
Bailey chose to put off confronting her spouse until the next morning. She remembered:
“I kept it internal, and I took a picture of it, and I texted my godmom,” “She’s like my voice of reason.”
Bailey claims that when she confronted her ex the following day, he denied infidelity. She said:
“I peeped it and I kept it quiet till the next morning, and then I walked in the bathroom like it was brand new”. “I still wanted my night of cuddles.”
Later, the topic of discussion shifted to whether Bailey had ever performed lyrics she had previously written about cheating herself to exact retribution. Bailey continued, laughing at the recollection, “I’m that toxic.”
