Lil Wayne denied getting engaged earlier this year and affirmed that he is now unmarried in a rare glimpse into his personal life.
Weezy discussed his relationship with 23-year-old Madi Cannon, to whom the 43-year-old rapper was supposed to have gotten engaged earlier this year, during a live webcast with followers. He stated:
“I would like to clear something up: No, I’m not engaged,” “I had a beautiful thing going on with an amazing person… I considered I don’t want to be such a burden on such an amazing person. So, we decided to part. Sucks.”
According to TMZ, there have been rumors of Wayne’s engagement since May of this year. He also discussed why, according to some fans, he skipped his tour stop in Bangor, Maine, in order to attend Michael Rubin’s Fourth of July White Party during the same webcast. He stated:
“I have epilepsy, I have seizures, right?” “Thank God I haven’t had a seizure in years, but seizures have triggers. A trigger to my seizures is bad migraines. I had a fucking migraine that night… it was recommended I don’t get in the air.”
When Lil Wayne had a seizure in 2016, the plane had to make an emergency landing. He experienced seizures on flights in 2012 and 2013, therefore it makes sense that he would wish to prevent another episode during a flight.
Despite having four children with four different women, Lil Wayne has largely kept his romantic life a secret in recent years. However, he has had well-publicized relationships with singer Christina Milian, model Denise Bidot, rapper Trina, model Karrine Steffans, and Lauren London, with whom he has a third kid, Kameron. In addition, he was engaged to his ex-girlfriends Nivea B. Hamilton and La’Tecia Thomas and had previously been married to Toya Johnson.
