Despite not having an NFL team yet, Stefon Diggs is still confident. In the upcoming weeks, NFL training camps will begin, and he hasn’t signed a contract since the Patriots cut him in March.
Nevertheless, in a video that was uploaded on his YouTube page last week, he appeared to have a message for anyone who was doubting his skills.
In a video, he stated:
“My opinion, I can compete with anybody”. “But take those [top wide receivers] as your 1s, right? You can’t name a No. 2 better than me.”
The wide receiver went on to challenge any NFL team to match him with their No. 2 receiver. Diggs stated:
“There’s not a No. 2 on a team — let’s presumably give people the credit and just say, ‘OK, you want to take the No. 1 spot away,’”. “Name your No. 2 receiver right now, and tell me how much he makes, and then my last question is: Is he better than me?”
Diggs just finished a season in which he caught 14 passes for 110 yards and a score during the Pats’ drive to the Super Bowl and 85 passes for 1,013 yards and four touchdowns during the regular season.
However, Diggs has had to deal with drama off the field, including a criminal case involving accusations of abuse by a private chef and his relationship with musician Cardi B.
