Angel Reese Talks Latest Barbie Doll Release and Childhood

The most recent Barbie partnership by Angel Reese is a representation-based full circle. Reese and her mother, Angel Webb Reese, discussed the significance of seeing the WNBA player memorialized as an official Barbie before to the Atlanta Dream’s Barbie Day celebration versus the Las Vegas Aces.

The collaboration has emotional meaning for Webb Reese. Webb Reese made a straightforward but impactful response when asked if she could recall her first Barbie.

She stated to ScoopB.com:

“Of course I do,” “It didn’t look like me. Yeah. That’s what I remember.”

Decades later, her daughter has grown into the doll she never had. Reese’s iconic game-day appearance is recreated in the Barbie Signature Angel Reese Doll, which was introduced as part of Mattel’s collaboration with the Atlanta Dream.
