Megyn Kelly and Dave Portnoy are embroiled in a social media feud over Caitlin Clark’s position—or lack thereof—about transgender athletes participating in women’s sports.
The WNBA player became combative when a reporter questioned her about colleague Sophie Cunningham’s divisive remarks regarding “biological men” playing sports against young girls. In essence, Caitlin ordered the reporter to kick rocks after being pressed for a response.
The ultra-conservative television personality Megyn called Caitlin a “coward” for avoiding the subject and rode Portnoy to support CC, saying:
“Absolute moron/idiot to call Caitlin a coward for this answer. 1st of all, you don’t even know how she feels on this issue and more importantly, she doesn’t owe it to you or anybody else to be your political talking point.”
In response, she told Portnoy that he was unaware and that he should “sit this one out.”
The biggest celebrity in the sport will probably be questioned about whatever her teammate said in the future because the controversy is not going away.
