Joe Burrow has found himself standing near another LSU quarterback drama, but unlike most people on the internet, he appears to have zero interest in picking a side.
The Cincinnati Bengals star was asked about the growing feud between LSU and Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels. Daniels reportedly told his former school that it can no longer use his name, image and likeness (NIL).
And yes, that includes the famous LSU jersey.

Apparently, even a college football jersey can now become a legal battlefield.
The 25-year-old NFL star reportedly sent the cease-and-desist letter after finding out the No. 5 jersey he wore during his time in Baton Rouge, from 2022 to 2023, will be used by sophomore cornerback DJ Pickett in 2026.
His family is said to be ‘deeply disappointed’ by LSU’s decision to give the number to another player, even though it hasn’t been retired.
Burrow, who starred for the Tigers before Daniels arrived and led the school to an undefeated 15-0 season en-route to National Championship glory in 2019, was asked about the situation on Thursday night.
“I just heard about it a couple hours ago,” Burrow said.
“I don’t necessarily have too many thoughts at this time. I don’t know enough about the situation to have any thoughts, I would say.”
“They told me that they wouldn’t use it again,” Burrow said of his jersey.
“But, you know, you never know what happens.”
Burrow clearly understands that this is not his fight.
He has his own NFL career to worry about. Bengals football is enough drama for one quarterback.
As for Daniels and LSU, the situation is still developing. But one thing is clear: Burrow is staying out of it.
And honestly, that might be the smartest play call of all.
No controversy, no unnecessary comments. Just quarterbacking.
Somebody get Joe a headset and let him enjoy the peace.
