In three shocking videos that were uploaded to his Instagram account late on Tuesday nite, former Duke player Kyle Singler criticized former coach Mike Krzyzewski.
In addition to pleading for assistance, Singler, who played for Krzyzewski from 2007 to 2011 and shared a national championship, said his old coach “dismissed” him.
Singler paces within a house in the first video, which has the subtitle, “Where u &”:
“Man, Coach K has set me up”. “Set me up, man. I have no power. I have no house. I’ve reached out to coach and everybody has turned the other way. I’ve reached out to coach and he has fully dismissed the message. You guys are cutting my power off, breaking into my house, stealing money, ruining my life. I reached out to Coach K and all he did was sit me on the bench. Thanks, man.”
“Is that what we’re doing at that school, sending people down, teaching them up? Cool beans, man. … Coach, where you at? Help a brother out. Thought we were on the same team, man.”
These films are the most recent in the 38-year-old former NBA player’s troubling two-plus-year run, which has many worried about his wellbeing.
Singler questioned society in the second video, which he shared twice, with the remark, “Now we talk’n,” before returning to the Hall of Famer coach.
In addition, he said that he is the victim of crimes and that they are “trying to kill me.” Singler, who spent a portion of four seasons with the Thunder in Oklahoma City, pacing once more stated:
“I can’t even live anymore. Can’t even say, ‘Hey, how’s it going?’ without confrontation. I’ve reach out to coach, again everybody knows what’s going on, I’m living in a whole other world. Coach, I need your help, man.
“I’m stuck at my house and I can’t leave, I feel imprisoned. Where we at? Leaving people stranded. I’ve tried to share messages about where we’re at and back home I got people, my friends, family, devastated and gone, died, and again my life’s on the line. I got people breaking into my house, jacking money, breaking into my accounts. And you know what? Duke’s all about it. I got Duke begging for my money. Everybody’s after my money, trying to kill me. What’s going on? What’s the deal? … Seems like people got a lot of anger and a lot of violence and a lot of retribution on their mind.”
Singler has produced a number of unsettling videos in recent years, raising concerns about his mental health.
He posted films to Instagram in November 2024, saying, “I fear for my life every day.”
A few days later, Singler uploaded yet another unsettling video in which he expressed his opinions about “a religious war right now across the map.”
