Daejon Love’s alleged fake-athlete saga just keeps adding new chapters, and this time, there was no football story.
A Portland woman says she met Love on Bumble in 2024. According to her account, he did not introduce himself as a 49ers player. Instead, he reportedly went with the “rich Swiss real estate developers” storyline.
Apparently saying, “I’m a regular guy,” was not exciting enough.
The woman detailed their date, and it sounds less like a romantic evening and more like a very long audition for the role of “Most Interesting Man Alive.”
For starters, she was reportedly irritated because Love would not park his car in the area.
Already, not exactly the opening scene of a romantic comedy.
Then came the main event. According to the woman, Love spent about two hours talking about himself.

That is not a conversation, that is a podcast episode with an unwilling guest.
Most dates involve two people exchanging stories. You talk, they talk, you laugh and maybe someone asks about your hobbies.
Apparently, Love had a different strategy. He allegedly pressed the “me, myself and I” button and refused to let go.
And somehow, this was only one chapter in the bizarre story now surrounding him.
Love was arrested on August 24 after authorities accused him of impersonating a San Francisco 49ers player as part of alleged romance and investment schemes. He faces two federal wire fraud charges in Oregon.
The Portland woman’s account is notable because her experience allegedly happened before the NFL persona entered the picture.
Instead of football, she says she was given the wealthy Swiss real-estate-developer story. That is quite the résumé.
One day, you are a wealthy property developer, another day, you are allegedly an NFL player.
At this point, the imaginary LinkedIn profile must be enormous.
For the woman, the biggest red flag may simply have been that the date was exhausting.
For investigators, the alleged bigger story is far more serious.
Love now has to answer federal allegations in court to gain his freedom.
