After leaving ESPN, Ryan Clark is still growing his media company.
Howard Schultz, the former CEO of Starbucks, has reportedly invested in the media venture of the former NFL player and sports analyst, Front Office Sports. Only two months have passed since Clark was fired from ESPN in July after working for the network for more than ten years.
Along with former NFL players Channing Crowder and Fred Taylor, Clark has been developing The Pivot, a podcast and media platform, since leaving ESPN.
Ryan Clark and his media company have secured an investment from former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz.
In July, Clark was let go from ESPN after 11 years.
Now, The Pivot has 1.5M YouTube subscribers, a deal with Netflix, and the man who took Starbucks worldwide as a partner. https://t.co/KSTZw0jY9a

The show just signed a multi-year deal with Netflix that will allow it to continue on YouTube while adding new video episodes to the streaming service.
Additionally, Clark started a weekly football program called “The Pivot Sports with Ryan Clark,” which is created in association with NFL Films. This month, the show made its premiere on The Pivot’s roughly 1.5 million-subscriber YouTube channel.
The rumored deal’s financial specifics and Schultz’s investment amount have not been made public. As Clark continues to expand his independently established media business outside of ESPN, the investment represents yet another significant step forward.
