Stefon Diggs is responding to allegations that he orchestrated an assault on a man whom he suspected was involved in the theft of his Ferrari. In newly submitted court documents, the Washington Commanders wide receiver stated that Nigel King, the individual suing him for defamation, has offered no evidence that he directed others to assault Nigel on December 4, 2025.
Nigel mentioned that he serves as a concierge for wealthy clients, such as Stefon. He mentioned that Stefon employed him to manage travel and various logistics, which includes assisting the NFL player with arranging for his Ferrari to be transported from Miami to New York in July 2024.
Nigel states that third parties stole the luxury car, but he argues that Stefon chose to hold him responsible for the event even though he has never been charged, cited, or labeled as a suspect.
Stefon also refuted that any comments he made regarding Nigel were defamatory. He requested that several charges be dismissed from the case and that the man cover part of his accumulated legal expenses.
Nigel brought a legal case against Stefon, the NFL player’s sibling Darez Diggs, and additional parties.
He claims that Stefon went around informing others he had stolen the Ferrari in 2024.
Nigel alleges he was attacked on December 4, 2025, at Tootsie’s Cabaret in Florida, by associates of Stefon, who he thinks acted under Stefon’s orders.
Stefon is facing a different lawsuit alleging that he sexually assaulted a former male acquaintance named Christopher Griffith ... the NFL player refutes the claims and asserts that the individual suing fabricated the story after being caught attempting to steal property. Griffith rejected all allegations of misconduct.
