NFL fans have many ways to trash-talk a quarterback.
Some yell about bad throws, others question play-calling, and some simply scream things that would probably get them escorted out of the stadium.
One Seattle Seahawks fan decided to get creative.
During the Chargers’ game, the fan used Justin Herbert‘s fiancée, Madison Beer, as part of a savage attempt to get inside the quarterback’s head.

The Seahawks fan heckled Herbert by comparing his abilities to the looks of Beer. The exact joke was brutal, personal and very much designed to get a reaction.

On Sunday, the Chargers slipped to 0-4 by falling 30-23 to the Seahawks on the road. Herbert finished 19-of-31 for 189 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions – including one which came on the Chargers’ first offensive snap.
Perhaps Herbert’s early struggles can be attributed to the heckling of one fan in particular. Just as the 28-year-old was about to run onto the field with his team, the fan shouted: “Hey Herbert! Herbert! Two meatball subs, man, you’re just as bad as your girl. You’re just as bad as your girl!”
The basic idea was simple. Madison Beer is widely praised for her looks. Herbert is widely praised for his football talent. The fan decided to put the two things side by side and basically suggest that Herbert did not measure up.
That is the kind of insult that probably makes you stare into the distance for a few seconds.
Herbert and Beer began dating over a year ago, and the couple announced their engagement in July. But his performances on the field have faltered since the happy news, which may give fans and observers ammunition to take aim at the quarterback’s relationship.
Since getting engaged to Beer, Herbert is 0-4 and has the second-worst QBR in the league behind only Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kyler Murray, according to ESPN. At NFL.com, Herbert’s passer rating is 70.6, which is the worst rate in the league.
The Seahawks fan’s job was apparently to make sure he did not enjoy doing it.
And with Madison Beer unexpectedly dragged into the conversation, this fan definitely found a way to make his trash talk memorable.
