As the Houston Texans prepare to take on the New England Patriots on Monday night, everyone was already considering this a big game. Two of the AFC’s elite battling for conference supremacy.
However, it appears that some players consider this a bigger game even more than the fans do. Just talk to Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson.
Per CSNHouston.com:
“It’s big,” Andre Johnson said, via CSNHouston.com. “You know how big it is,biggest game in the history of this franchise. It’ll be a big test for us and we’ll be ready to go.”
“I think as long as we keep winning, every game is going to get bigger and bigger,” Johnson said. “When you’ve been somewhere you’ve never been before, everything gets bigger. It’ll be a big game for us. Everybody knows the significance of this game, so just get ready and we’ll be ready Monday night.”
One might think that last years first playoff appearance for the franchise might be a little bigger, but whatever gets Andre Johnson motivated I’ll roll with.
I’ll most certainly be tuned in Monday night.
