Cnnsi.com (via the New York Daily News) reports that the New York Giants have invited a group of approximately 400 students, parents, and faculty members from Newtown, Connecticut’s Sandy Hook Elementary School to participate in pregame introductions during Sunday’s Giants-Eagles game. The guests from the Sandy Hook community will circle the field during the national anthem and line the tunnel to the field as the Giants and Eagles run out.
It’s a small gesture in light of what these families have been through, but kudos to Big Blue for making this happen for their neighbors from Connecticut.
