The Roddy White vs Richard Sherman beef is heating up and coming to a stadium near you. NFL players get a bit sensitive whenever the top 100 rankings come out, and Sherman played on that when he fired a shot at Roddy White.
During the latest episode of NFL Network’s “Top 100 Players of 2013,” Sherman stated during a taped segment, that Roddy White didn’t deserve a place on the list.
White ended up ranked 39th.
White was a guest on the “Top 100 Reaction Show” on Thursday night, and came out blazing Sherman according to Around The League.
“I’m not going to come out and say he shouldn’t be a Top 100 player because he should be a Top 100 player, but he talks too much,” White said. “He has talked himself into a place where he has to play some really good football this year. I have no problem when he says I’m not that good or I can’t do this or I can’t do that. But I know the rest of the players in this league know what I can do, and that’s why I’m higher on this list than he is.”
For the record, Sherman was ranked #50, 11 spots behind Roddy White.
White wasn’t done talking about Sherman either.
“He’s a front-runner,” White said. “When things are going good, he’s all good. When things ain’t going his way, he has nothing to say — that’s just how he is. You let him talk in the offseason because that’s what he likes to do. You let guys like that talk, but at some point when September rolls around, you got to come play football.”
The two players will square off in week 10.
