Nnamdi Asomugha has a beautiful actress for a wife, some money in the bank account, and several philanthropic ventures going on off the field.
Asomugha might want to make arrangements to be doing something else this NFL season.
Even with the loss of cornerback Chris Culliver for the season, there still was no guarantee that Asomugha would make the 49ers final roster.
49ers defensive coordinator Vic Fangio told the Associated Press that “the jury is still out on Nnamdi,” and that he may not make the team.
“We didn’t really know what we were getting when we got Nnamdi. He’s had some good days out here and some days where you weren’t sure if he was going to still have it,” Fangio said, via The Associated Press. “I think we’re kind of in between with him right now. Hopefully he’ll be able to still have some gas left in his tank to go out there and play like he did prior to going to Philadelphia. So, I think the jury is still out there.”
The fact that Fangio still can’t tell if Asomugha has anything left in the tank, tells you all you need to know about Nnamdi at this point in his career.
