The Baltimore Ravens got a thorough but whooping last night that was probably needed after an off-season on the banquet circuit.
The one thing the Ravens have going for them is the fact that it was week 1, and they are a resilient group in that locker room.
The Ravens new defensive leader, Terrell Suggs, was not about to let his team get down in the dumps over one game, and reassured everyone that the two teams are on a collision course.
“The great thing is it’s Week 1,” Ravens outside linebacker Terrell Suggs said, via Tom Pelissero of USA Today. “It’s one game. But I guarantee they will see us again.”
Suggs again harped on the fact that the Ravens would not go in the tank over one game.
“We’ve got some things we’ve got to fix, tighten up, obviously,” Suggs said. “But will we go in the tank? Is the whole season down the drain? No. It’s one game. It’s one game. All this game tells us – we’re not going to go 16-0. And I think the whole world knew that going in.”
