Ole Miss freshman wide receiver may have just bitten off a little bit more than he can chew, but I do give him respect for having stones to speak his feelings.
Treadwell stepped on the hot coals just enough to burn his feet, but left himself just enough room for interpretation when he sent out this tweet talking about an upset.
Treadwell and the Rebels of course travel to Tuscaloosa this Saturday to battle the No. 1 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide.
If Ole Miss wins, Treadwell can say see I told you so. If Bama beats the Rebels, Treadwell can say he was predicting Monday night football or something else like that.
Ole Miss quarterback Bo Wallace piggy backed on his receivers comments, and sounds confident they can duplicate the success Texas A&M had.
“I think we have better receivers than A&M,” QB Bo Wallace told Michael Casagrande of AL.com. “They want to talk about Mike Evans being so good, but we have Donte (Moncrief) and I think Laquon (Treadwell) is going to be that way. We have better players on the outside than A&M does. … Yeah, I think we can put points on [Alabama]. I think we can put points on anybody.”
