Well this is an awesome sight.
According to the UFC official website, former middleweight champion Anderson Silva has already began his quest to get back into the octagon just a month and a half after breaking his leg in a bout against Chris Weidman.
Silva, who ruled the UFC’s middleweight division for almost six years, was pictured at his Muay Thai College in Torrance, California this weekend lifting weights with a trainer and walking down stairs without crutches.
‘The Spider’ has been adamant about fighting again, and UFC president Dana White suggested that a return to the Octagon before the end of 2014 was possible.
If Silva had chosen to bow out after losing twice to Weidman, no one would’ve blamed him just off of the merits of his outstanding career. But I guess that fighting spirit is what got him to the top in the first place.
