One thing has never changed in Bridgewater’s draft evaluation, he has A+ character.
“My mother told me blessings can be delayed, but never denied,” Bridgewater said at an NFL Play 60 event at Chelsea Piers. “Whether I go in the first round or the seventh round, this is still an incredible opportunity.”
Bridgewater has seen himself go from a top 5 draft prospect to a fringe 1st rounder because of a few missed passes during his pro day. The over analyzing of QBs the past few years has gotten to ridiculous levels. Bridgewater’s tape show a guy that can make every throw on the football field and one who can grasp the mental side of the ball quickly. His attitude throughout this ludicrous draft slide has shown why he’ll be a great face of someones franchise.
“After the pro day I do feel like I have something extra to prove,” said Bridgewater. “I love playing with a chip on my shoulder.”
Teddy went on to express his relief that his wait is almost over.
“The wait has been it seems like forever,” Bridgewater said. “It’s amazing, two weeks can feel like two years … But I’ve learned to be patient.”
His wait is just a few hours away from coming to an end and what he does after tonight’s draft will be the true judge of Teddy Bridgewater.
