Dwyane Wade is enjoying somewhat of a rebirth in these NBA Playoffs and has some believing the 32-year-old has some juice left.
Win or lose, the Heat could be staring a rebuilding effort in the face if any of the big three choose to bolt. Wade told USA Today Tuesday that people shouldn’t hold him responsible for LeBron James leaving or staying in Miami.
“Just don’t solely put it on me,” Wade said, laughing. “That’s what I’m saying. Don’t put the X on me. … There’s a lot that goes into, so just don’t say, ‘If Dwyane Wade doesn’t have the year that we’re accustomed to, it’s over.’ “
Wade is averaging 19.2 points, 3.9 assists and 3.4 rebounds and shooting 52.1% in the playoffs. He’s masterful at deflecting and these comments simply allow him an out if LeBron James pulls a fast one and decides to bolt.
