The 49ers released McDonald almost immediately after he was arrested and questioned about a woman’s claim that he raped her at his home.
Here was the woman’s version of events.
The woman who has accused former San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman Ray McDonald of sexual assault told police she believes it happened after she fell by McDonald’s pool, hit her head and was knocked out, according to a search warrant affidavit filed in Santa Clara (Calif.) County Superior Court.
The woman told police she woke up naked in McDonald’s bed but with no recollection of a sexual encounter. She said McDonald was at first reluctant to tell her what happened the night before but eventually admitted they had sex.
According to McDonald it was consensual and he provided video to prove it. McDonald also claimed the accuser stayed with him a full day after the alleged attack took place. In the end looks like the DA didn’t feel like there was enough evidence to charge him.

McDonald was arrested for domestic violence earlier in 2014, but the DA also decided to not bring charges against him.
So, either McDonald is getting away with stuff or he is really unlucky, but because his record is now clean he will be more attractive to teams.
