The Times Square Spider-Man arrested for fighting with NYPD officers last summer is now suing the city for $1.5 million.
In July 2014, Junior Bishop was taken into custody following a scuffle with officers. Bishop, 25, was accused of forcefully demanding tips from tourists in Times Square, and the encounter turned aggressive when he allegedly refused to provide police with identification. The charges of resisting arrest, assault, and criminal mischief filed against Bishop were dropped in February.
