Cyrus Jones just may remain with the Alabama Crimson Tide. After being arrested on domestic violence charges a few days ago, Jones has been cleared — and pretty quickly.

Jones, 21, was arrested Tuesday night for allegedly damaging a woman’s cellphone and threatening her. He was charged with two domestic violence misdemeanors including third-degree harassment and third-degree criminal mischief.
“Although sufficient probable cause existed for both offenses, the dismissal is based on the fact that Mr. Jones in fact attempted to deescalate the situation by contacting the Tuscaloosa Police Department,” Sgt. Brent Blankley said in a release. “After reviewing with the Office of City Attorney, they concur with the recommendation of dismissal of the charges against Mr. Jones.”
