We all know the WWE Network can be had for the small price of $9.99 as they have been drilling in our heads since the Network was born. The price brings all the WWE Pay Per View events along with it but the WWE is still not satisfied with the Network numbers and are looking to make changes. In a recent survey, according to All Wrestling, the WWE asked former Network subscribers whether they would be willing to pay $4.99 just for the Pay-Per-View events alone and must have gotten back a good response as they are contemplating going in that direction. It would make some sense that some will buy the monthly events alone and maybe end up wanting to spend the extra $5 and just have the Network all month long. Of course, this is still just a rumor and not something set in stone. The WWE might find it a huge gamble to offer the events at $4.99 at the risk of losing subscribers who would now just be able to get the events. Many only watch those shows anyway so they may lose subscribers who would opt for this cheaper alternative. It’s an interesting idea and the WWE might try it out but I don’t think that is a habit they want to get people into. Also I would assume that Wrestlemania wouldn’t fall in line with that price as that is an extra special event.
